So, this week we had two extra room mates.  Ben's house lost power, so he and Yoshi crashed with us for the week.

Friday, we had a party to celebrate Sam Schatz' birthday.  Samantha is a former Warehouse resident, who now lives with Ben.  It's amazing how small the world really is.  This was one of those "Ohh, you know each other?  Wait, how do you know her?" nights.

Went to my first Binghamt Senators game.  American Hockey League team.  They actually made quite a production out of it.  For example, they had a blimb come into the arena as part of a promotion to hand out prizes.

Worked all day today.  Got an 10 page paper due tomorrow.  One last push, then I get to go home!  Had a lovely dinner at Inna's.  Finally saw Fantastic Four.  Not very fantastic, in my opinion.

So, I had a rough Halloween.  My so called friends came over with a bottle of Maker's Mark.  "Just one shot" they said.  This lead to another, and another.  Next thing I know, the four of us finished the bottle and I'm in a car on my way downtown.  The rest of the night was a blurry mess.  Next morning, I had to wake up at 7:30 and taught for six hours straight.

Poker night on Friday.  Was 2nd chip leader for a total of five minutes, then went all in on a pair of Queens.  Amazing how something can seem so plausible before you do it, and then so idiotic in retrospect.  >_<

Saw Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.  Weir hated it.  Inna liked it.  I loved it.  It's funny, Krista is a HUGE HP fan, so I used to get the inside skinny on character back stories, differences between the movie and the book, et cetera.  I thought I would escape this time and watch this film just to watch, but I was surrounded by Potterheads.  Sat next to this girl who kept telling me she thought Snape was hot.  *Shutters.*

So this past weekend, I went out to Cornell.  For those who don't know, my Dad went to Cornell for physics back in his day.  It was nice to walk a little in his foot steps and see the campus.

Got to see Mark Ferraguto, from the Holy Cross days.  He's studying musicology.  It's upsetting, because I used to have a pretty good grasp on music theory.  Spending time with Mark and other Cornell musicologist really highlighted how little I retained.

Also had a beer with Kyle Hagan, who went to Cold Spring Harbor with me.  He's studying soil engineering, which is basically the science of building structures in loose soil.

This week has been crazy.  Three tests, two interviews, and my normal work load.  Wish me luck.  ^_^

Big should out to Samantha and Holly for coming to visit.  It's great than my girlfriend and my ex-girlfriend get along so swimmingly!!!

First thing I did was put them to work!  Raindorf needed help moving into his place, so we rallied up and lended a hand.  He has a giant trampoline in the back yard!!!  Closed the night off at the bars.

Then I was nice and took the girls to go apple picking.  Found a neat little farm stand, which makes their own ice cream.  Pumpkin ice cream is suprisingly good.  ^_^

Saturday, we had a party.  It was going well, until Ryan and Anthony got into a fist fight.  Yes, that's right.  How embarassing.  >_<  Ryan said something dumb, so Anthony did something dumb, then Ryan did something dumber.  Booze + testosterone + ego, these things happen.

Today, Holly / Sam / myself went to the Ross Park Zoo.  It's something like the 5th oldest zoo in America.  I'd highly recommend both the farm stand and the zoo to everyone in Binghamton.  ^_^

Finally played it, this weekend.  ^_^

Go ahead.  Roll your eyes.  =-p

The job fair was this week.  Honestly, it's exhausting to troll through the tables, wait in line, and glad handle the talent scouts.  I can't imagine how exhausting it is on the other side.

Afterwards, got dinner with Su Youn.  Su used to be my assistant, X-Tax team mate, and class mate.  She's leaving for NYC to work with E&Y Tax.  Big shout out!!!

Weekend is finally here.  Could use the rest.

So, this weekend I went back to the Island.  It's probably the last time I'll be able get  home until Thanksgiving.

Day 1, Rosh Hashannah dinner w/ Holly & family.  I had figs, for the first time!  ^_^
Day 2, went over to Loryn's and rewatched the first few episodes of Heroes.  What a great show.  There are a lot of details you notice the second go around.
Day 3 & 4 Huntington Tavern.  Got to see the usual suspects.  I was really moved.  Sam, Owen, and Mat came back to Huntington just to see me.  Makes me feel special.  ^_^
Also, shout out to Lauren Alpert and Kristin LoGatto.  Two friends from high school, who I haven't seen since . . . well, high school.  We started bar hopping together, and are on the way to becoming better friends.  ^_^

Back in Binghamton.  It's upsetting.  I was actually ahead of my work for a few days.  Now, it's back on.  Lock and load!!!

This is what I come home to, night after night!!  >_<

Haven't updated in a while.  Been wicked busy.  I spent all summer taking it easy, and now I really have to hit the ground running.  >_<

2 Mozart opened with its first event, a barbecue with a few close friends.  Good time to be had by all.

Classes started.  It's going to be a tough semester.  All grad level classes this year and teaching.

This weekend, 15 Charles [the Warehouse] had its eviction party.  Their land lord is kicking them out because of Scotch and Yoshi [their dogs.]  It was a great party, until some loser pulled the fire alarm.  After the fire department and police left, there were about 20 of us left, with four full kegs.  Yeah, it was pretty wild.  >_<

What a week.  Holly left [boo!].  I got power [yay!]  Classes started [boo!]  Got to see a lot of friends [yay!]  Played Go with Wickers and poker with Deng's house.

Having a BBQ tonight, to break in the house, so to speak.  We really don't have enough chairs.  Ahh!

Ok, so I'm 25 now.  It's an odd feeling . . . because I don't feel any different.  I thought I'd have some deep though provoking revelation, but it was just another night.  Had a bar crawl, with more than the usual crowd.  I have the best friends in the world.  Much love.

Now, I'm back in Binghamton.  Holly has been good enough to come with and help me get set up.  It's been work, work, work, work.  It's great to be back.  I feel like I'm awake, for lack of a better term.

Unfortunately, no one called the utility company so we are without gas and electricity until Tuesday.  It's been interesting to live like a Luddite.  I felt all gung ho about the cold shower, the first morning.  I was like, this is going to be great, I'll really wake up from this, it's better for the planet, and I'm a tough guy, I can take it!!!  About two minutes in, I was whimpering like a lost puppy.  Yeah, this morning I showered at Inna's.

Pictured:  An army of wasps, invading Mat Belosic's window ledge.

So, this past weekend I went up to New Hamsphire with Krystle and her family.  For those of you not in the know, Krystle and I dated way back in the day, and are still close friends.  Her family has property up in Spofford Village, NH right on the lake.  A whole weekend of central air conditioning, fishing, swimming, and video games.  A nice little cap off to a long summer.  ^_^

Pictured: Me having fun with the merchandise at Ikea.

Saw the Bourne Ultimatum.  I thought it was fantastic, but I really feel like you have to see the other two to really get the whole picture.  So, if you have a lot of time that you don't know what to do with, watch all three.  =-p

So, I got invited to a keg party, held by Jon Hinkaty.  Mr. Hinkaty was my vice president, my track captain, captain and quarterback of the football team, and an all around swell guy.  This summer, I've run into him a lot at the Huntington bars, and it's nice to re-kindle our friendship.  It's also nice to see a lot of old friends from high school who I lost touch with.

*Sigh*  I had the whole summer off, and now I have to become a real person again.  Gotta unf*ck my sleep hours, pack, finish any registration for school, move, unpack, buy books, and I'm sure I'm forgetting something.  Lock and load, bring on the pain.  ^_^

I finally got my Nintendo Wii!!  I made an agreement with myself that if I could go without a cigarette for 100 days, I treat myself to a Wii.  I've got 70-something days, but with backlog on the Wii, I really had to get one when I could get one.  Greatest thing ever.  I feel like I'm a kid again.  ^_^

Also, I saw the Simpsons Movie.  Bloody hilarious.  I used to be a die hard Simpsons fan and my room mate next year and I can quote just about any episode from seasons 1 through 10.  Seriously, you don't have to be a fan to enjoy the movie . . . but it helps.  ^_^

So, last time we left off, I was in Boston.  Finally, it was time to start the New Jersey leg of this misdaventure.  Stopped by Josh's place.  Same Josh as ever.  ^_^

Then, I went down to Keith's place.  What should have been an hour and a half, turned into four hours on the road.  Important lessons for the non New Jersey native:
1.  The New Jersey Turnpike and the Garden State Parkway are NOT the same thing.
2.  Exit 8A and Exit 8 are NOT the same thing.  They aren't even close to each other!  I mean, they're consecutive, but still far.  >_<
3.  Orchard Avenue and Orchard Apartments are NOT the same thing.
4.  There are almost no working pay phones in New Jersey.  For example: one has its coin slot jammed up with gum.  I actually screamed "Why would anyone do that?!" in my frustration.

Well, met his girlfriend.  Korean girl.  He's always liked Asian girls.  Seriously, if I have a daughter I'm going to have him incapacitated, just to be safe.

Now, I'm finally home!  Simpsons movie tonight!  Yay!!  Seriously, if this movie sucks I'm going to hunt down Matt Groenig and feed him his own unmentionables.

So, I was all geared up for the weekend.  Had a group of friends to barhop with and a few parties in my queue and then I got a call from Sylvia.  Sylvia and I were on to take a trip to New England.  Only problem is that somewhere along the way, I got the wrong week scheduled.  >_<  I get a phone call at around 8:30, asking where I was.

So, I execute a complete about face and get ready for New England.  First stop: Kennebec, Maine.  Sylvia's younger brother, who is about to enter the 6th grade, is enrolled in a day camp in the area.  Unfortunately, Sylvia is his only family in currently in the States so we paid him a visit.  The whole thing, eerily reminded me of my time as a camp councilor at West Hills.

Next stop, Boston.  Got to spend some quality time with my brother!  He got a cat.  A sassy little thing named Ember.  It's funny how I become more and more like my brother as I get older.  We both like to read . . . we both love having the latest technology . . . we both are studying tax law . . . >_<

So, I got involved in "Food not Bombs."  Basically, we go to grocery stores and get food they would dispose of anyway, and hand it out to the poor.  If you're on Long Island, and you don't know what to do with yourself on Sundays, come by and lend a hand.

Stopped by Kevin Schissel's new place.  Kev and I used to live next door at the Farmhouse.  He now lives in huge place in Valley Stream.

Anyway, summer is almost over.  >_<  Gotta start gearing up for Binghamton.

My computer is finished!  It works!!!!  Yay!  I am so smart!  S-M-R-T!!!

So, this weekend I went to Splish Splash with the Belosic boys.  I remember going with the Belosics many times when we were kids.  Brings back memories, from back in the day.

Tonight, Holly and I totally geeked out.  Hit up the book store, and read over a cup of tea.  It's good for your soul.

Ok, this was the week of meat.  To open, Mark Cohen had a killer barbecue.  Imagine just about every type of meat, wrapped in bacon, then barbecued.  Scallions, chicken, jalapeno peppers (which I know is not a meat, but still)  >_<<

Then, 4th of July.  This year, I went to the Pagano twins beach house.  It's brilliant.  Their neighbors were setting off Macy grade professional grade fireworks.

Saw House of the Flying Daggers.  Beautifully shot, tediously long.

Transformers was a hell of a lot better than I thought it would be.  It's always nice to be surprised.  Seriously, try to catch it in the theater, cause the special effects are one of the biggest draws.

It's been quite a week.  I got all the parts I needed to build my computer, so I started it.  Melissa, Sam, and Holly were kind enough to keep me company, while I worked.  Tragically, when all the pieces were together, the case wouldn't close.  >_<  The power supply was one inch too far out, for me to seal the lid.  The computer worked just fine, but I needed to order a new case.  So close.  >_<

Been going to the gym a lot with Wong.  It's rough, because we're both good friends, so we both keep pushing each other.  What's more is he likes to do all the groups I'm weak at.  >_<  All and all, it's great.

Samantha left for Russia on Saturday.  Safe travels!

This weekend, Holly and I were in Delaware, to visit one of Holly's former room mates, Stephanie.

More to come.  ^_^

So, we hit a wing night at Naper Tandy's.  Haven't been there since last summer.  If anyone's looking for a new way to spend Wednesday, it's $17 for all you can drink for three hours.

So, Samantha is going to Russia in a week, so we've been spending a lot of quality time together.  Hitting bars every day since Thursday.  Had a blast.  It's great to gather a large group, and have people mesch.

Oh, try Beau's Bar in Greenlawn.  Prime attraction: Beau.  He's a retired *something* who runs a bar now.  He just looks like he's having fun when he's bartending.

Tonight, I'm staying in.  Taking it nice and easy.
